On our day off Ryan and I headed up north to try something new together, cross country skiing! With it being our first time we rented skis from Gorham Bike & Ski in Portland for the day and took to the groomed trails around the Oxbow Beer Garden in Oxford, ME. (*sport equipment can be rented on site on the weekends!)
Surrounded by the dreamy northern Maine pine trees and a nice breezy 40 degree February afternoon, it was the perfect day to try out this relaxing yet interactive Winter sport. We celebrated after with some pints of Oxbow’s best – Luppalo & Nothern Lager and a mushroom, ricotta, mascarpone and kale pizza.
